a/part is an arts and culture magazine contributing for more equality in the art world. Through the magazine and, in perspective, our own events, we aim to build a foundation for a community and platform that, ideally, will open up new opportunities, collaborations, and connections for creatives and creative institutions.
a/part is our pet project, that we’ve been working on voluntarily with all our heart.
We base our mission on the key question: "What makes a creative successful?"Potential, Hard Work and Dedication? By interviewing various creatives from all around the world we aim to explore this question and dive deeper into various topics in culture and arts.We aspire is to provide an international platform for creatives to showcase their work and stories, regardless of their level of recognition.
We want to rethink the idea of putting the most hyped topic on the cover.
We have had the privilege of interviewing remarkable artists from around the world and learning their stories.
Transform "apart" into "a part."
Our society is divided by borders, both imaginary and real and many individuals are deprived of opportunities to gain experiences beyond these boundaries. a/part seeks to contribute to breaking down these barriers, allowing everyone to explore other cultures, art forms, and perspectives, while recognising the diversity of creative individuals. Differences should merge to create a whole that generates new possibilities through its diversity.
Art is freedom, and this freedom should be accessible to all.
a/part curations was founded in 2022 by two friends Kathrin and Nicole, who initially connected through their shared interests in travelling, arts and culture. While travelling together, they met various creatives from different cultures and found their stories so inspiring that they began searching for a medium where they could share them. After many different ideas on how to combine all these interests, the vision of a magazine started to cross their minds. What started as a “random cool idea”, slowly came to life.
