Anahita Safarnejad is a filmmaker, poet, and freedom fighter whose heart beats for Jin, Jiyan, Azadi. She was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and is now based in Berlin, Germany.

By using her poems and experimenting with different cinematic elements, Anahita manages to convey emotions in a captivating way, almost as if you were experiencing them yourself. She is fascinated by avant-garde and psychedelic cinema, challenging her audience to see the world in new and unexpected ways by expressing her pain and processing her experiences.

Her movie “Liminal Space” is a tribute to her father, who passed away and is a way of processing her grief. It takes the audience through a journey of old memories and the waves of emotions she has to go through. Another important issue for Anahita is the struggle for justice and equality in the world. She advocates for women’s rights and freedom through art installations, demonstrations, films, and poetry. In doing so, Anahita is paying the price of possibly not being able to return home to Iran.
