Paul Herrmann is a German filmmaker based in Berlin. His journey started in his hometown Hofheim, close to Frankfurt am Main, where he began skating at the age of 11. With the desire to capture new tricks on film he started videotaping, editing and uploading videos of his friends skating. After finishing school Herrmann started an internship in a model agency in Berlin, which directed him to his first big job: Capturing the everyday life of models after the fashion shows in Paris on VHS. Around that time he and his friend Steffen Grap also created the concept for the film “Through the eyes of”, which later on was bought by MCM. It was his first big production with a team, filming 4 of his closest friends.
